Knighting Pun

Dubbing someone a knight by tapping their shoulder with a sword is a venerable tradition, but that didn’t stop a wag from mocking it in limerick form with a groaner of a pun. This is part of a complete episode.

I’ve got one more limerick for you.

Oh, great.

I mean, we could spend all day in this thing, right?

The word is dub, D-U-B.

D-U-B, okay.

The king could but scarce hold his mirth as his sword touched a squire of great girth.

It can be no surprise that because of your size, I dub thee circumference of Earth.

And a terrible pun to boot.

Oh, wow.

Circumference.

That is good.

Yeah, it’s okay, right?

It’s good, yeah.
