They Say Making a Commitment Means You Should Be Committed

Two big, wonderful things happened in 2006 that changed my life: I married my wife, Sarah, and I joined A Way with Words.

That’s basically two marriages.

I say that because a marriage is about a commitment to working together through thick and thin. That’s what my radio partners and I have done, too, to make A Way with Words successful during my two decades with the show. Martha and Stefanie have been doing it even longer.

Martha (my co-host), Stefanie (our producer), Tim (our engineer and editor), and I have supported each other for 20 years to make something we can be proud of, something that the world can enjoy, something that leaves an imprint on the people it touches.

There’s another partner in there, and that’s you.

Your support over the last two decades of my time with the program has been a remarkable foundation we could build on. Your financial gifts have felt like endorsements. They have encouraged us, and they have made it possible to create better and better brand-new episodes year after year.

Help me commemorate my twenty-year anniversary by making a gift to support A Way with Words today. In these increasingly fractious times, help me—help us—improve the way the world understands itself and how people talk with each other.

Quadruple thanks from all of us here! And thanks for listening.

Grant Barrett, co-host and co-producer of A Way with Words
