BOGO
n.— Note: Also abbreviated as “BOGOF.” «I was proud that she had grasped the dangers of Buy-One/Get-One (BOGO) free purchases.» —“BOGO Trap: Buy Eight, Get One Free? I Don’t Think So” by Sharon Harvey Rosenberg The Frugal Duchess Oct. 23, 2008. (source: Double-Tongued Dictionary)
My wife tells me that on her cosmetics chat boards, they say “BOGO 1/2” for “buy one, get one half off.”
Payless uses BOGO when they should be using BOGO 1/2. I’m thinking of suing them for false advertising!
