Here’s a cool food term, Albany beef. Another one of those things that’s not beef, right? Is it another seafood? Another fish? It’s another kind of fish. Albany is right there on the Hudson, Hudson shad, close sturgeon.
Sturgeon, yeah. There was a time when sturgeon was really, really plentiful in Albany. So plentiful that bar owners would serve sturgeon caviar just for free, along with drinks.
