We did it!

This year, we did what we set out to do.

First, we made great radio.

Second, we drew big crowds to support a literacy nonprofit in Dallas. We did it again to support community college scholarships in San Diego.

Third, we read thousands of emails, listened to thousands of voicemails, and answered as many as we could.

Next year, we’re gearing up to do even more. And for that, we need your help.

When we say in the show’s credits that we’re “independently produced,” it means that we don’t receive any money from NPR or the stations that carry our show. Our listeners are our funders.

If you donate now, you’re supporting not just a radio show but an idea — the idea that thinking about language is for everybody, and that it should be fun, and that we can all learn something from each other.

Give now and be a part of it.

With best wishes and thanks,

Martha Barnette  &   Grant Barrett
