If you sneeze at the end of a meal, you may be afflicted with snatiation. It’s that tickle in the nose you feel when you’re full. This is part of a complete episode.
Transcript of “A Sneeze at the End of a Meal”
Speaking of sneezing, I have a good friend who always sneezes at the end of a meal.
At the end of a meal?
Yes.
As something she does on purpose?
No, not on purpose.
Reflexively.
Yes.
Every single time she gets full, she sneezes.
And apparently this is an actual phenomenon, a physical phenomenon.
And one name that’s been proposed for this is snatiation.
I saw it in a medical journal, the Journal of Medical Genetics.
There was something wrong with the meal?
You didn’t sneeze.
What do I have to do to make you sneeze after a meal?
It’s this little nerve tickle again, I think, is as well as we can explain it.
I baked that roast for hours.
I swear it happens every time.
I just wait for the sneeze.
Well, I know you have sneeze terms.
Let’s hear them.
