Here’s a Norwegian idiom I quite like, and it sounds something like “o veri pling i bollen.”

Which literally means to be a ping in a bowl, and it means to be empty-headed or stupid, and you can just hear that, that pling in a metal bowl.

What is that saying we talked about?

Empty tea kettles make the most noise.
