Here’s a testy T-shirt slogan: “Polyamory is wrong! It’s either multiamory or polyphilia. But mixing Greek and Latin roots? Wrong!” This is part of a complete episode.
Transcript of “Etymological Mish-Mashery”
Recently on my personal Facebook page, somebody posted an odd photograph.
It was someone wearing a t-shirt, and in big letters it said, “Polyamory is wrong!”
And I thought, why in the world is somebody posting that on my Facebook page?
But underneath “polyamory is wrong,” it said, “It is either multi-amory or polyphilia, but mixing Greek and Latin roots? Wrong!”
Gotta love it.
That’s funny.
