Dog-Breed Blends

What do you get when you mix a shelty and a cocker? A shocker! Or how about a dachshund and a border collie? That’d make it a dashboard. We don’t want to know what you’d call a cross between a pit bull and shih tzu. This is part of a complete episode.

Transcript of “Dog-Breed Blends”

Remember that show where John Chaneski gave us a quiz about names for mixed breed dogs like cockapoo?

And labradoodle and things like that.

Yeah, malty poo.

We got an email from Judy Hendricks.

She’s in Grayslake, Illinois, and she was telling us about her own dog named Josie.

She’s a half-shelty, half-cocker.

That would be a shocker.

Nice.

And then she added in the email, but I met a dashboard, a dachshund border collie at the dog park.

So it’s a dachshund border collie.

There’s not something else in there?

Where’s the SH come from?

Dachshund.

Dachshund border collie.

Oh, I see.

Very good.

Dashboard.

These are a little out of hand.

I know.

Whatever happened to mutts?
