I’ve had a lot of fun lately exploring a book called Word Book of Virginia Folk Speech.

It’s from 1912.

Have you seen this one, Grant?

Sounds interesting.

You’re going to love it.

It’s got all these great phrases used in Virginia, some of which are familiar, like cool as a cucumber.

And one of my favorites is, bachelor’s wives and old maid’s children are the best people in the world.

Think about it.

Right, which means none.
