veisalgia

veisalgia n. a hangover. Etymological Note: Norwegian kveis β€˜uneasiness following debauchery’ + Greek algia β€˜pain.” This word was coined by the authors of the first cite. There may be a double-entendre in the word kveis, as it is also a word for a parasitic worm found in fish. (source: Double-Tongued Dictionary)
