A listener from San Diego, California, sent us two terms: pawburst, which happens when a cat reaches out to stretch, and head-to-hat ratio, or the number of jobs one person has to juggle. This is part of a complete episode.
Transcript of “Pawburst”
Two words come to us from Bruce Rogow in San Diego.
The first one is paw burst. It’s when a cat or dog reaches out to stretch and flares out their paws. I like that. Paw burst. Nice.
And then hat to head ratio. It’s the measure of how many full-time jobs a single modern corporate employee has. The hat-to-head ratio is very high in this room.
Oh, that’s terrific. You know, because you wear a lot of hats, right?
Yeah, they’re piled high.
Piled high.
