In my family, we would never have used the word “butt” for that part of the body at the end of the spine. It would have been considered vulgar. We said “backside” or “derriere.” I still cringe when I hear “I'll kick your butt.” I heard from someone else that he grew up saying “BOO-tocks.” Did any of you have particular family euphemisms?
