Blowin’ and Goin’

In June 2018, we appeared in San Antonio, Texas, to support San Antonio Youth Literacy in conjunction with Texas Public Radio. While there, Martha picked up the term blowin’ and goin’, a rhyming compound that means extremely busy, booming, or thriving. This is part of a complete episode.

I learned a phrase that was new to me when you and I went to San Antonio recently to do an appearance on behalf of San Antonio Youth Literacy.

Right.

We also made a lot of new friends at Texas Public Radio.

And when I was in conversation with one of the staffers there, she said, yeah, San Antonio is really blowing and going.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

I remember that.

I didn’t know that expression.

It just means booming, right?

Yeah, booming.

Busy, busy, busy.

Just going all the time.

Blowing and going.

Blowing and going.

I have to add that to my rhyming compounds list.

Yes.

I thought you would enjoy that.
