A strange, and I hope unintentional, use of the singular "their."

The January 2008 issue of PC Magazine contains an insert - a letter to the subscriber, explaining a change in publication frequency. Within this letter is the following statement:

"As a subscriber in good standing, you will receive one issue at the new frequency for each issue remaining on their subscription term."

Yeah, it looks more like an editing error than anything. I can't imagine any native English-speaker leaving that like that once they noticed it.
