A Way with Words and the 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which produces the show depend directly on listeners like you. They cannot exist without your gifts, which cover studio rental, an engineer, this website, podcast hosting, and distribution of the show via satellite and other networks.

When we're planning new episodes of A Way with Words, Grant and I often say we're out to change the way English-speakers talk about language.

But the more we've done the show, and the more we explore linguistic diversity and heritage, it seems more accurate to say we're out to change how we listen to each other. You and I, and everyone we know.

If there's ever a time that people should hear each other, it's now. How much of our world could be straightened and improved by a little better communication?

I think Grant and I can both say we're out to learn to listen to others. And we're trying to teach others how to do it on the show.
