Palin's curious pitch. Many Americans got their first gander at (and earful from) the guv when she delivered her remarks at the Republican National Convention, and there's been much said since on how Palin, who was born in Idaho and whisked away to Alaska in her infancy, somehow developed a voice well suited for a character on the Prairie Home Companion.
