I find it funny how some novelists (but especially Japanese) like to build up a mysterious character, and in the same breath would help themselves to totally private thoughts and feelings of that person - something like this: The way he carried himself told of foreign, far away places (and then a few sentences later) ...he took a sip, feeling the warmth slowly spread down his throat.
Sometimes it gets real real funny. And by famous authors too.
Do you know if there is a name for that style of writing?
