Discussion Forum—A Way with Words, a fun radio show and podcast about language

Is there a word for when you seem to exercise reticence ,  but do the exact opposite ? :

An accomplished author, scientist, not to mention diplomat, circus performer, connoisseur of all sins.

Don't go, regardless if they promise you millions, or threaten you with the force of the law.

(It doesn't seem to be 'contronym.'    Something kin to hypocrisy.)
