Is there a word for when you seem to exercise reticence ,  but do the exact opposite ? :

An accomplished author, scientist, not to mention diplomat, circus performer, connoisseur of all sins.

Don't go, regardless if they promise you millions, or threaten you with the force of the law.

(It doesn't seem to be 'contronym.'    Something kin to hypocrisy.)

Rhetorically, the first is an example of paralipsis. In general, these can be called apophasis.

Glenn, thanks a bunch.  I always knew some words must exist for that, though only half hoped that someone even knew them.
