No real question. Just an interesting graphic that shows Google searches for how to spell certain words, arranged by state. See it here:
http://www.mentalfloss.com/article/80742/infographic-americas-top-spelling-mistakes
I couldn't help notice that the top searches were for:
cancelled (4 states)
desert (4 states)
vacuum (3 states)
pneumonia (3 states)
All the rest are like 1-2 hits, unless I missed one. Now I can understand "pneumonia" being up there, but really, the others are not that difficult. I was surprised to see words like "banana" and "cousin" on the list. Got a good laugh outa the top search in the state of Massachusetts ... it was "massachusetts." 🙂
tromboninator--In 2008, I took my wife with me to Hawaii on a business trip. In 2010, I took her with me to a conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. Being from Missouri, the flight times were similar. Later, I asked her which of the two she would rather visit again and she said Scotland. So, she would not think you are missing out. BTW, Edinburgh is about the same latitude as Ketchikan (which I asked Google how to spell).
