I recently posted a quasi-catty, claws-extended Facebook update suggesting to FB 'friends' the most appropriate use of its social networking capabilities : egocasting. (This, following the lack of response to rideboard and job-seeking updates.) While just short of a fully cynical characterization, egocasting fairly describes the majority of member updates and activities.
Extending the cast lexeme theme, here are two suggestions on the phenomenon of a cognitive disconnect between the voice behind the golden microphone, the imagined corresponding persona, and the reality of that face in real-life
- iconoclast-cast
- cognitive disconcast

I suggest "discomvisualized" for the mental disconnect one experiences when seeing a radio host as different from the way one imagined him or her.
