A look at the psychology of spoonerisms, which of course can mean the difference between straddling a well-boiled icicle and a well-oiled bicycle.

I knew a preacher many years ago who consistently referred to the whale of the belly. Didn't have a clue he was doing it, and I never had guts to tell him.

Waaay back when, when we used to get the gigglies and the munchies, someone came out with a spoonerism. Then someone else said, "hey you did a snooperism!" To this day I have to think twice to remember which term is the correct one.

This reminds me of http://www.torysteller.com/

A torysteller who is hilarious and makes the rounds at Renaissance Festivals!

Archie Campbell? from Hee-Haw would retell classics like:

"The Pee Little Thrigs" or "Rindercella."

The best line from Rindercella is, "She slopped her dripper."

Oh my goodness. You just sent me WAY back to my past.

All I can say, Emmett, is "Saaaaaaaaa-LUTE!"

The Capitol Steps usually do satirical songs on politics and current events, but they also do some hilarious spooneristic commentary. Some are available on line in a section of their website called “Lirty Dies”

In a speech science class, we were talking about jitter and shimmer...at least once a day, our professor would slip and switch the j/sh.
