Hi --

I thought Martha and Grant asked people to let them know what family names we're familiar with for our grandparents -- but don't see a thread about that here. Maybe I'm missing it? When our daughter was born, the two grandmothers directly "in line" behind her were in the same community, so to differentiate between them, one (who had lived in Hawaii) suggested she be referred to as "Tutu," the Hawaiian for "Grandma." The other grandmother was "Grandma."

Our daughter pronounced "Grandpa" as "Paka" (pah-ka), and she has referred to him that way all of her nearly 40 years of life. (Paka has sinced passed on.)

Cheers!

Oh, Liz, there are a bunch of replies here and there but we got many more via email and the telephone, only a few which were shared in this most recent episode.
