Lipstick On Your Choler (Or: Did You Call Me a Pig?) When Barack Obama trotted out a well-worn, folksy phrase about cosmetics and swine on Sept. 9, the political world developed a sudden allergic rash.

I also spoke about this to to Monica Guzman of â€œThe Big Blogâ€ of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Lipstick on a pig and why we play politics with words, and to the UK Guardian.
