My nephew introduced me to "garden path sentences," sentences that are gramatically correct but sound awkward until properly analyzed.  Wikipedia has an article on them.  An example is "The old man the boat." (think of "old as a noun and "man" as a verb.  Anyone have other examples (more can be found on Wikipedia)?
