Word of the year 2014: Exposure

Dictionary.com has named exposure as word of the year.

Isn't exposure another way of saying transparency?  That's been an increasingly big issue for the last decade....

And then there is exposure to Ebola.

But given the weather this week, I'm reminded that exposure can be a cause of death.
