I heard Mr Obama saw it several times beforeI realized he might be saying "Asian".
What gives. That isn't a pronunciation at dictionary.com. Did he meN another word, or is the pronunciation in another language?

What was the context? Is it possible he's referring to ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations? According to Wikipedia, that group is pronounced either AH-see-ahn or AH-zee-ahn.
