Troy Smith and his blog's readers play a game called “One Different Letter. (Scroll down for lots of them.) The rules: you take a word, change one letter, and then give it a new meaning. Easy and fun!
PS: He also draws a web comic called Scandal Sheet.

I don't rightly remember, but it was probably a Google Alert. I have a bunch of them setup for common language-related themes. Fun game!
