I listen to this show with my 89 year old uncle from time to time. Â This week there was a lot of consternation regarding the origin of the phrase, "the horning hour"' as it refers to adult time.
Well, my uncle couldn't stop laughing.  He thinks it come from a reference to NFL-er great Paul Hourning and his penchant for carousing and drinking aka adult-time.  It fits the era.  Maybe the old man is right and it is "the Hourning hour".
