Pronunciations of S and Z can be interchangeable or can differentiate meanings.
Interchangeable:
Resource = available goods
Rezource = resource
Differentiating:
Rezort = option
Re-sort = resequence
Just an observation- no question, except if you have other examples, or disagree.

In my experience, the "rezource" pronunciation is so rare as to be nearly nonexistent. I wonder what a map of its use looks like.

I don't think I've heard anyone pronounce resource as "rezource".
One observation I've made is that in some English speakers (not American's speakers (see previous thread I posted on (and excuse liberal use of parenthesis*))) you'll often hear something pronounced somethink. I notice my mother does it, and on some comedies. David Jason as Del Trotter in "Only Fools and Horses". I heard 'rezource' on NPR, and suspect but am not ready to implicate Robert Siegel of 'All Things Considered.' In any case I hear it often elsewhere.
Here's a corroborating post from another discussion (one of many to the same effect more or less.)
'I habitually pronounce resource with a 'z. I have been educated in Australia and have been speaking English for nearly 50 years.'
