when i was reading an article in a website, I noticed that the wrtiter had used that word with this meaning="to re-say what someone else has just said".

Is that really correct?

I am in doubt because that guy Β wasn't Β  a native speaker.

I Β couldn't Β find that meaning in my dictionary.

Thanks for any comment on this.

please help.

Welcome to the forum.

I've never heard shadowing used that way. But since, as you say, the person was not a native speaker, my guess is he confused it with echoing.

Perhaps they meant to say echoing.

My first impression on reading that was our posts must have crossed. Then it hit me. You have a wry sense of humor. Β  :)
