sentence diagrams

I had to learn this stuff in grade school. Once I caught on, I thought it was pretty cool. Check out this diagramming of the Preamble to the US Constitution:

Except for the use of "insure" vs. "ensure" (which is probably a historical style convention), I think it really makes the meaning clear. My question for the English teachers in this forum: Are you still using diagramming as a means to learn the language? Or has it been replaced by something else?

Lots of hits when I Google "sentence diagram," but not much about how it's being used in the classroom these days.
