can anyone testify to the voracity of my opinion that the expression
of getting “pinched†was pretty much a chicago way of speaking and grew from the early 60s and you pretty much wouldn't hear it in the natural progression of a conversation any further south than kankakee, il.or north to milwaukee west to aurora
northwest to rockford.in my experience anywhere else in illinois or the midwest
you were “busted†or “poppedâ€but only “pinched†in the chitown area.
