Just a comment of the discussion on "jet". An aside - I tooo loved the BOTANY OF DESIRE. I was a little surprised there was no comment on "jet" jewelry. I am not certain, but I beleive it was quite popular for ladies during the 19th century, perhaps Victorian times etc.
