I just sent a proposed new entry to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED).
The OED has 'gomer, n.3' derived from the US TV show "Gomer Pyle, USMC". In the US cattle (bovine) industry, 'gomer' is used as an adjective, i.e. 'gomer bull'. It is a surgically altered bull that cannot insert his penis into the mounted cow's vagina. He is used to detect when a cow is in heat so artificial insemination can be performed at the proper time. It is usually thought that the gomer term comes from the main character who tries and tries and tries, but just does not get the job done.
A post by 'suzorse' here, http://familycow.proboards.com/thread/8227#page=2 , uses 'gomer' as a verb.
I could not find any books with it using Ngrams. Google finds about 1000 websites--at least one of which is a youtube song.

Every time I see this post, I get chillblains, so I went googling for more info. It turns out that the gomer bulls are often  castrated or given vasectomies as well as an operation to point the penis in another direction.  I had in mind a horrid operation that would give the penis a club head so it would be unable to fit.  Some gomer bulls learn to corner two cows in the stanchions so that he can mount one and breed the other idea, so a vasectomy is a good idea.
An old farm boy, I wanted to argue with the spell checker; it sounds like "stantion", not "stanchion" to me. Â (And I know both the dairy farming, and the truck farming meanings of "deacon".)
Unless one must have such high arts and sublime sciences there is always vegetarianism already.
Vegans don't drink milk, and cheese, etc., but i thought vegetarians consumed yogurt, kefir etc.
Dad was always proud that his milk went to Van Wert for the production of Leiderkrantz, the world's finest cheese.
You can not respect enough the profession that feeds the world. But can creatures get some respect too while living out their times?
