German Group Vilifies 'X-Mas'. A language watchdog group announced Wednesday that it has found the year's 'most uncalled-for word' in German. The honor is both an abbreviation and an anglicism: 'X-mas.' But the term is centuries old.

Good lord! Well, first they should take out the hyphen. Looks too much like "X-Men"!
