Capon: a male chicken that has had its sex organs removed to make it grow big and fat.
Does this definition not show an intention ( and an option and an action!) on the part of the chicken?!!

No, but I've heard this argument made before in cases where something more deliberate than a chicken was involved. For example, "I can't drive for two months because I had my license revoked" most assuredly does not imply that I set out to lose my driving privileges.
