Grant, you were so close when you came up with Exxon-sexual...and No Ca/So Cal. Better, I think, are petro-sexual or Bo Cal (both / No Cal So Cal) for the caller with quest for term to describe herself, a frequent commuter between San Diego and Marin County.

My husband and I thought a good term for the commuters would be - upandowners.

Please - don't do bi-Cal!!! Lake Baikal is the largest (by volume), oldest, and deepest fresh water lake in the world. You'll confuse anyone who has studied world geography.
