Is 'by George!' out of use?
The last time I heard it was maybe 20 years ago, and it caused someone to giggle a little.
I never even notice 'by Godfrey' except in a Faulkner story set in Civil War time.
Still hear 'by golly,' though even it is kind of old, isn't it?
