Fellow logophiles: Check out this beautiful and artistically drawn "family tree" of languages. I did not know that the Uralic languages were considered a separate branch as shown. Don't know if there's any real debate about diagrams like this, but author Arika Okrent is usually on top of this stuff. Enjoy.

Thanks for the link. What a beautiful diagram – and easier to follow than many less-artistic versions.
