I was listening to a webinar with a women speaking of a group mind virus. She mentioned the group mind being -amime? amim?(guessing on the spelling) Β and the actually group mind virus being a miasm. Β Her examples were how Hitler influenced people through the group mind virus and whats going on in South Africa.Β

I looked it up in Websters and nothing was found- could be my spelling Β  Can someone give me the correct spelling and definition of these 2 words

Β

Thanks

Jane

The first you're hearing is probably a meme. An informal definition of the word would be an idea or thought that is communicated from mind to mind, eventually taking on a sort of life of it's own. It was coined by analogy with the word "gene".

Assuming you heard miasm correctly, Google found this definition:

(in homeopathy) any of the three underlying chronic diseases that afflict humankind: sycosis, syphilis, and psora.

which does little to define it other than to associate it generally with an idea of societal "feeling of awfulness".
