Here in the UK many people watch a massively popular reality show called The Only Way is Essex. TOWIE for short, pronounced with a 'ow' as in how, not an 'oe' as in toe. Essex is a county Northeast of London and the show popularises fake tans, fake eyelashes and everything superficial in a comic way.

Key people from the show have become very well known and appear in the press all the time now.

'Reem' is a word from the slang used on the show. It means 'the best'. It is different to the Japanese robot called R.E.E.M.1.

Has anyone heard it yet in America or anywhere else? Has anyone heard it prior to the last couple of years? I have never known a word become so popular so quickly.

Try looking at a FACEBOOK page called everything REEM.
