I am a listener in the KPBS/San Diego area. After the station changed its weekday/weeknight format A Way With Words came off the Saturday/Sunday schedule (even though all of the other usual shows remain). There was no advance notice and so far neither KPBS nor A Way With Words has offered an explanation.
Any help on where I can listen to the program live versus the podcast and why it was dropped?

I still see it on the KPBS schedule on Sunday at 3pm.
If there's any show on public radio (whether NPR, PRI, or other distribution) that you're having trouble finding, try http://www.publicradiofan.com for stations, showtimes, and streaming audio links. (That's how I was able to keep listening to Schickele Mix for quite some time after the Phoenix NPR station dropped it.)
Not to worry, shainh. As Ron noted, we're on at 3 p.m. on Sundays on KPBS, after "Weekend ATC" and before "This American Life."

This is part of their new lineup. They're prioritizing news, and replacing classical music in the evenings with even more news.
