Synch, sanch, sunch (or is it sync?)

I recently heard a colleague say that he "already sunch /sunk/ his iPod." I found it amusing that the strong verb forms were being applied by analogy with sink, sank, sunk.

I suppose one alternative would be to pattern it after think and say that he "sought his iPod".

Amusing, yes, but it was improperly applied by analogy with sink, sank, sunk. Had he done it properly, he would have said he sanched his iPod.

Yep. It brought tears to my ears.
