My elementary english teacher taught us gibberish songs to help with singing. She would say a line and we would repeat it. She had several. So fun.

kumma lanna kumma lanna kumma lanna feesta

oh no no no not the feesta

My 5th grade friend Diane Cipperly taught me this version in about 1959:

It is call and (response):

Fi!(Fi)

Fi Fie !(fi fie)

Fi fie fo! (fi fie fo)

Fi fie fo fum! (fi fie fo fum)

Kumala! (kumala)

Vista! (vista)

Singing now:   Oh, no no, no no la vista

Eeeny meeny decimeeny oo wa ta tu wah ta meeny

X-ameeny, Zolla- meeny oo wa tu wah.

Bee biddley-ah ta gotten, bo bo ta bee ta boten .   Shhhh!

GREAT SONG!   Wish I was still in touch with her and could sing it now!

In  the song  Ooh! La! Ooh! La!, by They Might Be Giants, there's a line that sounds similar:

Eensy beensy crumbleeny Ooh la! Ooh la! Gumbleeny
