Hi,

At some point in the past my musical partner and I found the word “Orfic” (not “Orphic”) in some dictionary. Now we can't find any reference at all anywhere. The definition was ‘something done by a famous person but not well known' not necessarily musical, we perform many songs of this type. We both remember reading this in print, were we having a shared hallucination?

I would love a word with that meaning. I will be watching for info other folks might provide, as well as keeping on the lookout for this word myself. But so far, I can't confirm the existence of this word via my usual sources, with the possible exception of a rare spelling variant of orphic.
