I always thought the, "Do you want to come with?" question had Scandinavian roots, but I don't really recall where I first heard it. I will say that this is a shortcut in language that can get its hooks into you if you hear it often enough.

The bring/take issue I always associate with NY/NJ. Always wondered how you could bring something to a location where you were not located. Local parlance and custom. At the moment there is a weight loss commercial on TV where a gal asks people to help her "bring" a giant big rock (over to) her truck. Commercials are responsible for so much that is irresponsible in speech. I'm drawing a blank right now, but I'm sure you could name some. Then they are repeated over and over and over......Pop songs do it, too, in a charmingly melodic way you can never get out of your brain!
