D-flapping

Sharrie Williams was a reporter and sometime anchor on my local DFW CBS news [5th largest TV market]. She has moved to a Boston [4th largest TV market] station as co-anchor for weekday evening news. Her d-flapping was very distracting but it does not appear to be an obstacle in the news business. Once I noticed it, it monopolized all of my attention.

Some examples I noted:
deatly: deadly
kitnapped: kidnapped
mitnight: midnight
Mitlothian: Midlothian
kitney: kidney
gritlock: gridlock
