With regard to the "bring vs take" discussion Martha mentioned "to carry" as being used by some in the south. In Central Virginia, many say carry as in "I'm going to carry Mom to the Doctor". It is rather common usage for those who native to the area. Another idiom is "might can or might could". When I moved north, many noticed these turns of phrase and commented upon them.
As for the caller who questioned how to write the possesive of her son's name "Hendrix", Martha and Grant said it was okay to use "Hendrix's". My last name ends with "SCH" and I was taught the possesive was "...SCHES", not "SCH'S". Which is correct?
The -sch ending does not call for any exception: the possessive is -sch's; the plural is -sches; the plural possessive is -sches'.

Thank you Glenn, I think I did get a bit confused there. I was referring to the plural possesive, thinking of a sign someone had made for my brother's house that used the 's rather than the es ending. We discussed said sign and whether the usage was correct. I appreciate your clearing it up once and for all.
