Words and their Stories. The Voice of America's "Special English" programming includes a series of programs, all downloadable and with transcripts, about slang, colloquialisms, and Americanisms. The programs are written with a limited vocabulary and spoken at a slow pace in order to be more comprehensible to learners of English.
